The company plans to use Bitmain\u2019s state-of-the-art S21 immersion XP machines, known for their efficiency, to add over 2 exahash per second (EH\/s) to its mining capacity. The 30 MW immersion-cooled data center is expected to be operational by the end of 2024. Furthermore, Cleanspark aims to expand the site&#8217;s power capacity by an additional 45 MW, potentially adding another 3 EH\/s to its overall hashrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Importance and Industry Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement of this expansion comes at a time of growing support for the cryptocurrency industry in Wyoming. The state has recently seen the launch of the University of Wyoming&#8217;s Bitcoin Research Institute and the introduction of the BITCOIN Act by Senator Cynthia Lummis. These initiatives underscore Wyoming&#8217;s commitment to fostering innovation in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cleanspark CEO Zach Bradford expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, highlighting the company&#8217;s collaboration with local, state, and national leaders.
