The criminals further enhanced the scam’s credibility by impersonating high-ranking officials and using the names of well-known dignitaries. Victims were even shown fabricated investment proofs to build trust and encourage participation. Social media platforms played a key role in advancing the scheme and attracting investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To conceal their fraudulent activities, the perpetrators funneled funds through multiple bank accounts. A significant portion of these stolen funds was converted into cryptocurrency, making it harder for investigators to track the transactions.
