The disagreement centers around a claim made by Sun, who accused the exchange of ignoring a law enforcement request to freeze stolen crypto assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xu swiftly responded, stating that OKX had received no such request through its official channels. He emphasized that OKX adheres to strict consumer protection laws and cannot act on informal messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t freeze a customer\u2019s funds based on your personal X post or a verbal comment,\u201d Xu posted. \u201cAs the CEO of HTX, you should understand this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-okx-says-no-request-reached-them-not-even-in-spam\">OKX Says No Request Reached Them\u2014Not Even in Spam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>OKX\u2019s compliance team thoroughly checked all official inboxes, including spam folders, and confirmed no request had arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xu also referenced a now-deleted post by Sun, in which Sun claimed that a \u201cfreeze notice\u201d had been sent to OKX by a relevant law enforcement agency. Sun stated he had no other means of reaching OKX\u2019s compliance department. He defended his actions by saying the stolen funds didn\u2019t belong to him and that he was protecting the crypto community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, Xu challenged Sun to provide proof\u2014specifically, a screenshot showing when and where the request was made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tron Hack Part of a Larger Trend in Crypto Security BreachesThe Tron DAO\u2019s X account was compromised on May 3. During the attack, malicious links to crypto contracts were posted, spam messages were sent, and the account followed unfamiliar users.
