The latest buy, worth about $15.2 million, pushes its total holdings to roughly 20,136 BTC, valued between $2.05 and $2.08 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company paid an average of around $111,700 per coin in this round, while its overall average cost sits near $103,200 per BTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest accumulation cements Metaplanet as the sixth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder, ranking just behind industry leader Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bold-targets-for-2025-and-beyond\">Bold Targets for 2025 and Beyond<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Metaplanet has already secured about two-thirds of its 30,000 BTC goal for 2025. Looking further ahead, management raised its 2026 target from 21,000 BTC to an ambitious 100,000 BTC. By 2027, it aims to control as much as 210,000 BTC\u2014mirroring the aggressive approach pioneered by Michael Saylor\u2019s Strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To fund this plan, shareholders recently approved a major capital raise through a stock issuance worth approximately \u00a5130.3 billion ($884 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stock-reaction-and-market-sentiment\">Stock Reaction and Market Sentiment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the hefty Bitcoin buy, Metaplanet\u2019s stock slipped 1\u20132% after the news. Analysts note, however, that this pullback could be a buying opportunity. One valuation model suggests the stock has a floor at \u00a5705 and a median fair value closer to \u00a51,332.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shift from hotels to Bitcoin in 2024 has already delivered staggering results, sending shares up 3,500% in a single year.
