In some situations, customers may rec over only part of their cryptocurrency balances if the platform enters insolvency proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-operations-wind-down\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operations Wind Down<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-according-to-the-company-s-notice-customers-can-no-longer\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">According to the company&#8217;s notice, customers can no longer:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open new accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deposit crypto assets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trade or swap digital assets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access staking, lending, or promotional services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AscendEX said limited account access will remain available for withdrawal requests, customer support, identity verification updates, complaints, and transaction history exports while the wind down continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exchange attributed its closure to several factors, including the implementation of the European Union&#8217;s Markets in Crypto Assets regulation, known as MiCA, which became fully effective on July 1. The company acknowledged that it does not hold authorization under the new regulatory framework and also pointed to broader financial and operational pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-uncertainty-for-customers\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uncertainty for Customers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The warning has heightened concerns among customers who had already reported withdrawal issues in recent weeks.
