Binance fo under Changpeng Zhao, widely known as CZ, has welcomed President Donald Trump’s effort to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. market, calling the development a major positive for the cryptocurrency industry. The comments come as Washington signals a more accommodating approach toward on-chain trading platforms and crypto derivatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump said during a White House meeting with crypto industry leaders that Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig was working on a path to bring Hyperliquid into the United States. CZ responded enthusiastically, saying, “We are so back!” The remarks quickly drew attention across the crypto market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The development marks a potentially important change for Hyperliquid, which has built a large market for on-chain perpetual futures while operating largely outside the direct U.S. regulatory framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hyperliquid has become one of the largest venues for on-chain perpetual trading. A recent regulatory filing showed that the platform accounted for about 40.7% of global on-chain perpetuals volume over a 24-hour period in July. Its cumulative perpetual futures volume has surpassed $4.3 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Trump administration has increasingly promoted policies designed to expand crypto activity in the United States. The CFTC has also taken steps that could make it easier for regulated platforms to offer perpetual futures domestically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CZ’s latest reaction follows earlier praise for Hyperliquid. In June, he described the platform’s technology as “awesome” and acknowledged that it operates in a niche Binance cannot easily compete in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, CZ also previously raised questions about Hyperliquid’s compliance model and lack of traditional know-your-customer controls. That makes his latest support notable as the platform moves closer to potential U.S. regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A U.S. pathway could give Hyperliquid access to a much larger pool of traders and institutional capital. It could also strengthen competition among crypto derivatives venues and accelerate the migration of sophisticated trading products onto regulated U.S. markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
