The expansion follows the phased rollout of Schwab Crypto in May, when the platform began offering direct trading in Bitcoin and Ethereum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-broader-crypto-access\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Broader Crypto Access<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new listings mark a significant expansion of Schwab&#8217;s direct crypto offering. The brokerage said it selected established digital assets that align with client demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schwab&#8217;s crypto platform currently charges 75 basis points on the dollar value of each trade. Clients can access cryptocurrency alongside traditional investments through Schwab&#8217;s digital investing ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company also plans to add more cryptocurrencies and digital assets over time. However, Schwab said it may delay, modify or withdraw support for an announced asset because of market, regulatory, operational or risk considerations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-a-growing-institutional-push\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Growing Institutional Push<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The move strengthens Schwab&#8217;s effort to bring cryptocurrency into a mainstream brokerage environment. Its crypto offering is operated through Charles Schwab Premier Bank, while Paxos provides sub-custody and trade execution services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schwab initially launched spot crypto trading with Bitcoin and Ethereum after surveying investors about what they wanted from a cryptocurrency platform. The company emphasized pricing, brand familiarity, security and investor education as key considerations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The addition of Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink gives Schwab clients exposure to assets beyond the two largest cryptocurrencies. Solana is widely used for blockchain applications and digital asset transactions, while Avalanche focuses on scalable blockchain networks. Chainlink provides infrastructure designed to connect blockchain networks with external data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schwab&#8217;s expansion comes as traditional financial firms continue integrating digital assets into established investment platforms.
