The latest purchase lifts Strategy&#8217;s total Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC as of August 30. The company has spent approximately $63.73 billion acquiring its Bitcoin holdings, with an average cost of about $75,412 per coin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-strategy-funds-purchase-through-stock-sales\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategy Funds Purchase Through Stock Sales<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strategy financed the latest Bitcoin purchase through its at-the-market common stock offering. During the week, the company sold 4,531,421 shares of Class A common stock and generated $602.8 million in net proceeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-company-allocated-those-proceeds-across-several-balance-sheet-priorities\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The company allocated those proceeds across several balance-sheet priorities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$369.7 million went toward the Bitcoin purchase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$151.8 million funded repurchases of STRC preferred stock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$50.7 million covered STRC dividend payments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$30 million increased the company&#8217;s USD Cash balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funding approach allows Strategy to expand its Bitcoin holdings while also supporting its preferred-stock obligations and liquidity position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-a-more-flexible-balance-sheet\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">A More Flexible Balance Sheet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest purchase comes after Strategy spent much of the summer strengthening its cash position. The company reported $5.10 billion in its USD Reserve and $1.61 billion in USD Cash, giving it approximately $6.71 billion in dollar-denominated assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strategy&#8217;s return to Bitcoin buying also comes as the cryptocurrency market has recovered from its summer lows. Bitcoin recently climbed above $80,000 before pulling back, creating a more favorable backdrop for renewed institutional accumulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The size of the latest purchase is smaller than some of Strategy&#8217;s earlier acquisitions. However, the transaction is significant because it ends a lengthy buying pause and signals that the company remains committed to its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
