They also come as developers gain more tools to build applications and services around Pi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-protocol-27-targets-smarter-blockchain-functionality\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protocol 27 Targets Smarter Blockchain Functionality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Protocol 27 is the most closely watched upgrade. Pi Network has moved the release to Testnet, with a September 15, 2026, target for Mainnet deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upgrade introduces more flexible smart contract authentication.
