From 2017 to 2022, Jian Wen assisted in laundering money for the fugitive, facing one count of money laundering while jurors remained undecided on two additional charges. The trial, lasting almost two months, shed light on the extensive network of intermediaries and professionals who facilitated the laundering of Bitcoin and the acquisition of assets across the UK, Europe, and Dubai for Jian and Zhimin. Zhimin Qian, who entered the UK in September 2017 under an alias and fled in 2020, was portrayed as a “master of deception,” having allegedly misled a vast number of investors through a complex investment scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
