Binance has added five cryptocurrencies to its Monitoring Tag list, placing them under closer scrutiny and raising the possibility of future delisting. The exchange added Moonbeam (GLMR), ICON (ICX), Moonriver (MOVR), SuperRare (RARE), and Sophon (SOPH) following its latest project review on August 11.
The move does not mean Binance will immediately remove the five tokens. However, assets carrying the Monitoring Tag face increased oversight because Binance considers them to have higher volatility and risk than other listed cryptocurrencies.
Closer scrutiny for five tokens
Binance regularly reviews listed projects against its listing standards. The exchange considers factors such as development activity, trading volume and liquidity, network stability, security, public communication, and changes in token supply.
The Monitoring Tag serves as a warning that a token could lose its listing if it fails to satisfy those standards in future reviews. Traders also face additional requirements when accessing monitored assets on Binance.
The five newly flagged tokens are:
- Moonbeam (GLMR)
- ICON (ICX)
- Moonriver (MOVR)
- SuperRare (RARE)
- Sophon (SOPH)
Delisting risk remains uncertain
The latest warning comes as Binance continues to tighten scrutiny of smaller and more volatile digital assets. In recent months, the exchange has also removed several tokens after separate listing reviews, showing that Monitoring Tags can precede further action, although they do not guarantee delisting.
For holders of GLMR, ICX, MOVR, RARE, and SOPH, the immediate development is therefore a risk signal rather than a confirmed removal notice. Investors will likely watch future Binance reviews, trading liquidity, project development and token-related updates for signs of whether the five projects can retain their listings.
