XRP ETFs Defy Crypto Outflows as Investors Keep Buying While Bitcoin and Ethereum Funds Bleed

Published:

XRP exchange-traded funds are showing unusual resilience as investors pull money from major crypto funds. U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted roughly $1.55 million on Sept. 8, while Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs posted net outflows.

The latest figures highlight a growing divergence in digital-asset investment flows. Bitcoin ETFs lost about $46.65 million, while Ethereum ETFs recorded roughly $24.29 million in redemptions. Solana ETFs also saw smaller outflows. XRP was the only major crypto ETF category to record a positive flow during the session.

XRP Demand Holds Up

The latest inflow extends a broader period of relative strength for XRP investment products. XRP spot ETFs recorded about $110.5 million in net inflows during the final week of August, their strongest weekly performance of 2026 at that point.

That demand arrived even as XRP experienced a sharp pullback from its recent high. The continued ETF buying suggests some investors are maintaining exposure despite short-term price volatility.

Recent flows have also pushed cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot XRP ETFs toward $1.7 billion since their launch.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Face Selling Pressure

Bitcoin and Ethereum remain much larger ETF markets, so their daily flows can dwarf XRP’s figures. However, the direction of capital is becoming notable.

Bitcoin ETFs had recently attracted strong demand, including more than $700 million in a single session earlier in September. Ethereum funds also enjoyed a lengthy inflow streak before withdrawals returned.

The contrasting flows do not necessarily prove that investors are abandoning Bitcoin or Ethereum for XRP. ETF flows can change quickly as institutions rebalance portfolios, lock in gains, or respond to broader market conditions.

Still, the persistence of XRP inflows gives the token a notable position within the current crypto ETF landscape.

The market will now watch whether XRP can maintain positive flows while Bitcoin and Ethereum face renewed redemptions. Sustained demand could reinforce the view that institutional investors are increasingly treating XRP as a distinct allocation within the digital-asset market.
