Strive has expanded its Bitcoin treasury again, buying 1,355 BTC for approximately $107.7 million. The purchase comes as Bitcoin climbed above $85,000, marking its strongest price level since January.
The company disclosed that it bought the Bitcoin between September 14 and September 18 at an average price of about $79,475 per coin, including fees and expenses. The transaction lifted Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings to 26,355 BTC.
The latest purchase continues Strive’s recent pattern of steady Bitcoin accumulation. The company bought 469 BTC for roughly $36.6 million the previous week, reaching the 25,000 BTC milestone.
Strive Expands Its Bitcoin Treasury
Strive’s latest acquisition represents a sizable increase in its Bitcoin holdings over a single week. The company has increasingly used preferred equity financing as part of its strategy to fund Bitcoin purchases.
The company also reported $21.2 million in gross proceeds from warrant exercises that began last week. Management said 57.7% of its total capital raised came through SATA, its perpetual preferred stock.
This financing structure has allowed Strive to continue adding Bitcoin without relying primarily on traditional debt. However, the approach also makes the company’s capital structure an important factor for investors tracking its treasury strategy.
Bitcoin Rally Boosts Treasury Value
Bitcoin crossed $85,000 on September 21 after trading near $75,000 less than a week earlier. The sharp rebound has increased the market value of Strive’s Bitcoin holdings alongside the broader cryptocurrency market.
Strive’s latest purchase was also larger than Strategy’s latest acquisition. Strategy bought 950 BTC for approximately $75.7 million during the same period.
The two companies illustrate the growing competition among public firms seeking to build large Bitcoin treasuries. For Strive, the latest purchase strengthens its position while Bitcoin’s renewed rally provides a favorable backdrop for its accumulation strategy.
