Crypto Liquidation Heatmap

Estimated liquidation levels across price and time, aggregated across every exchange with live open interest

Exchanges Included Live OI Anchor OI Coverage

Estimated levels derived from public volume data using a leverage-tier model (10x / 25x / 50x / 100x), rescaled to match real, live open interest reported by each included exchange. Exchanges do not publish real position ladders - bright zones show where accumulated leveraged positions are likely to be liquidated, not confirmed orders.

How to Read the Liquidation Heatmap

The liquidation heatmap shows price levels where leveraged crypto positions are estimated to get liquidated. Each time volume trades at a price, the model assumes a share of it opened leveraged long and short positions at common leverage tiers, and projects the price levels where those positions would be force-closed.

Bright bands are liquidity magnets

Zones with high estimated liquidation notional (bright colors) often act as price magnets: when price reaches them, forced buying or selling from liquidations adds fuel to the move, and market makers are incentivized to push price toward the liquidity. Bands below price represent long liquidations; bands above price represent short liquidations.

Cleared zones

When price trades through a level, the accumulated liquidations there are considered flushed and the zone resets - the map always reflects positions that are still estimated to be open.
